Education Programs

Interactive, hands-on educational programs with Alberta curriculum matches are available for grades K-12. Contact our Education Director: Jeanne Visser-Vliegen to arrange your group's educational tour for any age level. Programs are provided by interpretive guides, and/or oil patch veterans and volunteers of our Society who will lead the students through our 23,000 square foot facility and cover topics ranging from geology, history and of course natural resources. The highlight of the tour includes a visit outdoors onto a 1940's era drilling rig. We provide the hardhats — you bring the cameras!

Groups must be booked in advance with Jeanne Visser-Vliegen, Education Director. The average program length is 1.5 hours.

Call 1-866-987-4323 to book your class, scouts, guides or special interest group or to reach us any time for more information.

You may choose to do a self-guided tour of the gallery and outdoor exhibits or have a guide walk with you to explain all the mysteries of discovery, production and transportation. We have full time staff on hand to serve you throughout the summer and encourage you to ask questions. To ensure a guided tour for a group, please make arrangements at least 2 weeks in advance.

Visitors with French, Dutch or German language requirements can be accomodated with prior notification.

To book a tour, please call 1-866-987-4323.

Regular admission rates apply to group tours. Tea and Coffee may be booked ahead for an additional $1/person, and catering services are available. Please inquire at the time of booking.
